Preeti Shetty is the Head of Upshot at The Football Foundation, the UK’s largest sports charity funded by The Premier League, The Football Association and the Government. Preeti’s work focuses on proving the difference sport makes to people's lives through impact measurement and evaluation. The Football Foundation is well known for its use of innovative technology and Preeti spearheads these efforts by running Upshot, The Foundation's online impact measurement system. 

Upshot is an online M&E tool that helps community projects manage their programmes, monitor their progress and evidence their impact. Since launching in 2012, it is now being used by over 850 organisations all around the world including sports teams, leagues, governing bodies, charities, universities, government agencies and corporate social responsibility schemes.

Preeti has worked in the sport for social change space for over 10 years, starting off at BBC Sport and working for various national and international NGOs and brands. A well-respected figure in the sport for development space, Preeti was named one of The Sport Industry Group Next Generation Leaders in Sport, is a Women’s Sports Leadership Academy graduate and sits on the steering group of the BOND International Sport for Development coalition.

In this fifth episode of In Her Corner, we’ll talk to Preeti why the sports industry needs to embrace failure and share learnings from the experience so that we can all better use sport as a tool for fuelling diversity and inclusion across businesss and communities.
