Arianna Criscione is a first team Goalkeeper and Sponsorships Manager for Paris Saint Germain – a European football powerhouse that embodies the ultimate in cool swagger. As her job titles suggest, Arianna currently holds two contracts with Paris Saint Germain, one being a player contract continuing her dream to win a major trophy and a second role in the sponsorship department, working with developing the women’s game off the field.

Arianna was born and raised in the United States, the suburbs of Los Angeles to be exact, after which she studied at UCLA and Boston College. After her collegiate career she became a professional footballer having played in Italy, France, Sweden, Netherlands and Norway, along with some caps with the Women's Italian National Team, and appearances in the Women's Champions League, while at the same time developing an entrepreneurial spirit and having some business development experience. While playing she continued her studies and got a Masters in Football Business from The Football Business Academy (FBA).

In this fifteenth episode of In Her Corner, we talk to Arianna about the realities of being a professional female footballer, why the sports industry needs to step up and truly invest in the growth and professionalisation of women’s game as well as reflecting on Arianna’s career highlights to show you why some fairy tales do in fact come true.
